On behalf of our client in Montreal, Progression3 is in search of a Business Intelligence Team Lead for a permanent role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and implement data models, SQL queries, stored procedures and user defined functions
  • Manage, organize, prioritize, and lead business intelligence work of direct report staff
  • Train users on the proper and effective use of the business intelligence toolset
  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Lead the technical direction of the team and mentor junior associates
  • Create, prioritize, assign and regularly follow up on tasks and the advancement of the team’s work with regards to deliverables;
  • Be a mentor in terms of technical aspects for team members (where necessary);
  • Contribute to the technical architecture and development phases (where necessary);
  • Take part in performance assessments in collaboration with the associate director (AD);
  • Coordinate bug correction as it pertains to the team’s work;
  • Ensure that new employees integrate the team;

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have a strong background in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • 3+ years of experience with one of the BI tools (Cognos, Business Objects or Power BI)
  • Be self-driven, curious to learn new things and want to run your own work
  • Be outgoing and enjoy working with others
  • Highly motivated, results and metrics driven
  • Positive attitude towards a fast-changing business environment
  • Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
