Progression3 is in search of a Business Intelligence Administrator for a permanent role with our client in Montreal.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES

  • Develop complex reports, from simple lists, crosstabs and  chart  through complex dashboard, drill-through, master-details and conditional formatting, multipage reports including simple and cascading prompts.
  • Evaluate the overall system performance of Cognos suite to meet the business needs
  • Responsible for troubleshooting user issues and coordinating with vendor support (IBM)
  • Take over all technical issues in the system and resolve them timely
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining security access to Cognos reports, Cognos and TM1 applications
  • Ensured proper scheduling and administration of Cognos connection
  • Usage existing data sources and develop complex Framework models for reporting
  • Deploy the packages and reports from Dev To Prod environments
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation to ensure it is up-to-date and accurate
  • Maintain list of users, permissions, security groups, content and audit processes.
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Maintaining data analytics platforms.
  • Conducting troubleshooting on BI models.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working with data warehouse systems and various types of reporting and data analysis software
  • Administration experience with the suite of BI Cognos or other tools (such as Microsoft, SAP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, stored procedures, views
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative setting
  • Any BI report development experience is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
