Office 365 Administrator

Progression3 is in search of an Office 365 Administrator for a permanent role with our client in Montreal.

Main functions

  • Planning, designing, and implementing solution to migrate AD/Exchange/Skype to Office 365;
  • Assist in the development and perform the deployment of policies and other best practice configurations using Microsoft Office 365 Security Center and related components;
  • Deploy, configure subscriptions, configure Exchange/AD/application settings/DNS, manage, and monitor messaging infrastructure, permissions, client access, email protection, apply licenses, and mail flow in both on-premises, hybrid, and cloud enterprise environments, i.e. Office 365, during project execution;
  • Office 365 administration (Exchange Online, Skype for Business Online MS Teams and Tenant);
  • Office 365 support, maintenance and administration (Account provisioning, migration to O365, distribution group creation, license activation). Strong skills with using the Admin Portal;
  • Provide support and training for Office 365 applications;
  • Communicate to the manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays. Engage in outside‐the‐box thinking to provide high value‐of‐service;
  • Assist with technical documentation of systems and processes;
  • Assist with the creation and documentation of technical knowledge base for common issues experienced by end users;
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge;
  • Provide after-hours on-call support and other duties as assigned. Report progress to supervisor and project managers, including the preparation of weekly status reports;
  • Provide Investigation support of any actual or potential information security incidents.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Technical skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in infrastructure support, design, and or implementation of Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Cloud technologies/Azure;
  • 5+ years’ experience and strong knowledge on Microsoft technologies, Cloud, IaaS/SaaS/PaaS, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, O365, SharePoint, Skype, Teams, Networks (LAN/WAN);
  • 5+ years’ experience and in depth knowledge of networking technologies including Cisco,      Firewalls, Wireless, Layer 2-3 equipment’s, DHCP, DNS, and LAN security procedures;
