Progression3 is in search of a Desktop Support Analyst for our client in Fort McMurray.

The Role

Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of site support services by providing Tier 1 and 2 supports for desktop hardware and software. This position provides technical support of desktop computers, mobile devices, applications, printers, and related technology liaising with various business stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to move, carry and manipulate equipment up to 50 pounds.

The support role duties include:

  • Providing on-site and remote end-user technical support;
  • Assisting staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktop computers, mobile devices (iPhone, Android, cellular modems), and software within established standards and guidelines; Providing support for site-wide moves/ adds/ changes of CNOOC International IT equipment (i.e.: printers, computers, A/V equipment, etc.).
  • Providing audio visual equipment support and meeting room assistance;
  • Working with Help Desk and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients;
  • Providing a base operating system and productivity software (MS Office) support; Collaborating with corporate IT teams on various projects and initiatives (i.e.: business analysis, user acceptance testing, report creation, etc.);
  • Providing telecom support (i.e.: desk phone setups and system troubleshooting) and radio system support (i.e.: distribution and tracking of radios and assistance with radio system vendor with radio system issues) as required;
  • Providing user training on CNOOC International IT technologies/equipment and associated procedures as required;
  • Maintaining Xerox printing fleet – troubleshoot printing issues and replace consumables;
  • Providing on-call, unplanned leave and vacation coverage as required;

  • Must be willing to work in Fort McMurray.
